Allwyn to provide National Lottery games to Aldi’s UK self-service checkouts
A full rollout is expected to be completed by the spring.

Allwyn has partnered with supermarket chain Aldi to bring The National Lottery to all self-service checkouts across its UK stores.
Included at these self-checkouts will be Lucky Dip tickets for Lotto, EuroMillions, Thunderball and Set For Life games, while those customers with a National Lottery Fast Pay card can self-scan to create bespoke tickets.
Aldi has offered National Lottery games at its store since 2021, but this will be the first time they are available at all self-checkouts, as the store becomes one of the first to launch the service in the UK, with a full rollout expected to be completed by the spring.
Aldi Communications Director Richard Thornton said: “We’re always looking for ways to improve the shopping experience for our customers which is why we’ve made it even easier to enter the National Lottery while picking up essentials at our self-checkouts.
“As the UK’s cheapest supermarket, our shoppers know they’ll always find amazing value at Aldi, but we hope some lucky customers manage to find the winning numbers at our self-checkouts too.”
