BetBlocker expands to the US with dedicated charity division

Key points:

– BetBlocker has launched a US-based non-profit organisation, registered in Delaware

– The charity aims to expand its gambling harm reduction services to American users

– The Colorado Lottery has integrated BetBlocker into its responsible gambling resources

BetBlocker has announced the establishment of BetBlocker US, a dedicated arm of the UK-based charity that provides free self-exclusion tools for gambling harm reduction.

The new division is officially registered as a 501(c) non-profit organisation in Delaware, marking a step in BetBlocker’s efforts to expand its services across North America.

The charity, which operates in the UK and Europe, offers gambling blocking software that allows users to restrict access to gambling sites anonymously.

With the US expansion, BetBlocker aims to make its self-exclusion tool more widely available to American residents, particularly as gambling regulation continues to evolve across multiple states.

As part of its expansion, BetBlocker has confirmed that its software will support English, Spanish and soon, Chinese—addressing the three most spoken languages in the US.

Good to know: The platform already provides tools in 17 other languages

The launch of BetBlocker US coincides with a partnership with the Colorado Lottery, which has integrated BetBlocker into its responsible gambling resources.

BetBlocker Founder and Trustee Duncan Garvie stated: “By establishing the US arm of the charity, it is our hope that we can raise the profile of the service in North America and support tens of thousands more people in the coming years. Free support is essential and I’m confident that in the coming years we will be there for hundreds of thousands of people across the North American continent that would otherwise struggle to manage their gambling.”

In February 2025, BetBlocker introduced an Italian-language version of its software, while previous initiatives have included support for Bemba, Nyanja and Tonga in Zambia.

BetBlocker has also expanded its presence in Europe, partnering with EveryMatrix to launch a Maltese version of the tool during European Safer Gambling Week 2024.
