On 2 April 2025, the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI) and the Gambling Commission signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Dublin. The agreement sets out a framework for cooperation between the two regulatory bodies.
The signed agreement aims to focus on cooperation between the two regulators. It outlines principles of collaboration to develop the regulatory duties of both bodies, focusing on shared responsibilities.
Following the signing, a bilateral meeting took place where discussions included issues related to compliance and enforcement. The agreement addresses mutual regulatory concerns, particularly in relation to operators shared by the UK and Ireland.

“Ireland and the UK share many of the same operators and gambling practices, so putting this agreement in place will enhance our ability to share information and discharge our respective regulatory responsibilities effectively.
