New Jersey reports $536.6m in April gaming revenue, up 5%

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement released gaming revenue figures for April 2025, reporting total gaming revenue of $536.6m which is a 5.0% increase compared to April 2024.
Financial Breakdown
The increase was driven largely by internet gaming, which posted $235.2m in revenue, up 25.2% from the previous year. Year-to-date internet gaming revenue now stands at $908.4m, reflecting 21.0% growth over the same period last year.
Traditional casino win, however, declined. The nine Atlantic City casino hotels reported $211m in April 2025, a 2.7% drop from the $216.8m reported in April 2024.
Sports wagering gross revenue also saw a decline. The combined total for casinos, racetracks and partners was $90.5m, down 14.8% from April 2024. Year-to-date, sports wagering revenue has decreased 17.6%.
Despite these declines, total gaming revenue across all sectors reached $2.12bn year-to-date through April 2025 which is a 3.1% increase compared to the same time frame in 2024. Gross revenue taxes for April 2025 totaled $59.8m, contributing to a year-to-date tax total of $234.9m.

The April figures continue the trend seen in March 2025, where New Jersey gaming revenue hit $546.1m, fueled by a 23.7% surge in iGaming despite declines in land-based and sports betting sectors.
April’s results build on February 2025’s momentum, when total gaming revenue rose 5.1% year-on-year to $484.8m, underscoring sustained digital growth across the state.
