GTO Strategy Launches Poker Training Platform Combining Solvers, AI and Competitive Play
Developed with input from elite poker pros Owen Messere and Patrick Leonard, GTO Strategy aims to improve poker play through pre-solved scenarios, AI-powered training and a competitive leaderboard system with cash prizes.
A new poker training platform is aiming to make game theory optimal (GTO) strategy more accessible as competition in online poker intensifies.
The recently-launched GTO Strategy combines solver technology, artificial intelligence-driven feedback and competitive training features in a platform designed for players of all skill levels, from beginners to pros.
The tool was developed with input from high-stakes cash game player Owen “PR0DIGY” Messere and tournament pro Patrick Leonard, widely regarded as one of the most successful players in Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) history. It also builds on Odin Poker, a training platform created by high-stakes professional Rory Young in 2021.
According to the company, GTO Strategy provides users with access to millions of pre-solved poker scenarios across cash games and tournaments. The database includes preflop, heads-up postflop and multi-way postflop situations, covering formats ranging from four-max to nine-max tables, as well as independent chip model (ICM) tournament spots.
Solve, Train, Compete
The platform is organized around three primary functions: Solve, Train and Compete.
The Solve feature allows players to search specific situations and view optimal GTO actions, including raising, calling and folding frequencies for different hand combinations. All solutions are professionally validated, according to GTO.
Train is designed to simulate real-game decision-making. Users are presented with hands and must make choices against the clock, receiving immediate feedback comparing their actions to the GTO solution. Performance data is tracked over time to help identify strengths and weaknesses.
Compete introduces a competitive element uncommon among poker study tools. Players face off using identical hands and scenarios, with leaderboards and weekly challenges available. Through an integration with online poker site CoinPoker, users can also compete for real-money prizes.
The company said the platform was built to reduce the barriers often associated with traditional solver software, which can be difficult for newer players to navigate. Beginners can access training tools without prior solver experience, while advanced users can utilize features such as multi-way postflop analysis, custom AI solves and detailed hand reviews.
GTO Strategy offers a free tier with limited access to training and study tools. Paid subscriptions are priced at $39 per month for the Standard plan and $79 per month for the Elite plan, with both options including a seven-day free trial.
