PrizePicks has been announced as the official daily fantasy sports (DFS) partner of the Houston Astros. The multi-year partnership with the US baseball team is set to include both online and in-stadium activations at the team’s home ballpark, Daikin Park, developing PrizePicks’ presence in Major League Baseball (MLB).
At Daikin Park, PrizePicks’ logo will be showcased with both static and rotational signs. The DFS operator will also feature in the team’s ‘More or less’ segment before each game on the Astros Radio Network.
Alongside this, PrizePicks will also collaborate with the Houston Astros on its City Connect Monday promotion, supporting their Monday home games. When the team wears their Nike City Connect uniforms, fans are in with a chance of winning a free $10,000 PrizePicks line-up, as well as tickets to an upcoming Astros game.
On the partnership, PrizePicks CMO Mike Quigley said: “This partnership is all about bringing more fun and bigger rewards to PrizePicks players in Houston. We’re rolling out new promotions and experiences that make following the Astros even more exciting for fans – both at the ballpark and at home.”
Good to know: Quigley was appointed to his role in February, having formerly served at EA Games, YouTube and NianticThis
Matt Richardson, Houston Astros Vice President Corporate Partnerships added: “We are thrilled to add PrizePicks as an official Astros partner. PrizePicks continues to invest in Major League Baseball and is committed to engaging fantasy sports fans in both a responsible and fun way.”
The Houston Astros are not the only MLB team to partner with PrizePicks. In April, PrizePicks extended its partnership with the Atlanta Braves for an additional three years, having initially begun their partnership in 2020.
