The FBM Foundation has mobilised a large-scale relief operation in response to recent typhoons that have severely impacted several regions in Luzon, Philippines.

On 27 July, the Foundation distributed 1,000 emergency relief packages to families affected by Typhoons Crising, Dante and Emong across Batangas City, Caloocan City and Quezon City.

The initiative was led by FBM Foundation’s Philippine Representative Pepe Costa and Community Service Project Coordinator Lulu Barreras.

Their mission began in Batangas City, where 500 families received aid following severe flooding that submerged homes and displaced residents. The distribution was coordinated with the local City Social Welfare and Development Office, who praised the Foundation’s swift response.

The relief team next visited Barangay 176-C in Caloocan City, distributing 200 packages to families affected by persistent rains and poor drainage systems. The operation, facilitated by Barangay Captain Nelfa Cabantac, ensured equitable and efficient distribution of emergency supplies.

Finally, 300 relief packs were delivered to flood-stricken residents of Barangay Talayan in Quezon City, with coordination from concerned citizen Richard Cabugsanon. A total of 12 volunteers participated in the mission, delivering supplies and support to those in need.

In previous years, the Foundation has responded to similar emergencies across the globe. In May 2024, for example, FBM Foundation partnered with FBM Brazil to support communities in Rio Grande do Sul affected by floods and landslides, providing 500 grocery baskets, 500 personal hygiene kits and 9,000 litres of water through collaboration with local organisations and logistics partners.

Additionally, in February 2023, the Foundation donated $16,000 to support earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria. The contribution, split between UNICEF ($11,000) and AKUT ($5,000), provided emergency kits, food, clean water, blankets and medical supplies to affected populations following the 7.8 magnitude earthquake.
