Playtech forecasts H1 2025 EBITDA of at least €90m

Key points:

– Playtech expects adjusted EBITDA for H1 2025 to reach at least €90m

– Growth supported by strong B2B activity and improved contribution from Caliente Interactive

– Interim results set for release on 11 September, followed by in-person presentation in London

Playtech has issued a trading update ahead of its half-year results, forecasting adjusted EBITDA of at least €90m ($102.7m) for the six months ended 30 June 2025.

The company attributed the performance to continued momentum in its B2B operations and a better-than-expected contribution from associates, particularly Caliente Interactive.

According to the update, Caliente benefited from favourable sporting results during Q2 and has now paid its first dividend under the revised strategic agreement. Playtech holds a 30.8% stake in the Mexico-based operator.

In its May AGM update, Playtech highlighted anticipated headwinds in Latin America, particularly in Brazil and Colombia.

Despite this, the group reiterated its confidence in its long-term strategy, with ongoing investment in US and Brazilian growth initiatives planned for the second half of the year.

Playtech noted: “Given the exciting growth opportunities ahead, the Board remains very confident in Playtech’s ability to execute on its strategy as a predominantly pure-play B2B business.”

Good to know: Adjusted EBITDA includes Playtech’s operating loss from HappyBet and income from associates but excludes Snaitech, which has been partially divested

The interim results will be published on 11 September 2025, accompanied by an in-person presentation hosted by CEO Mor Weizer and CFO Chris McGinnis at Chartered Accountants Hall in London. The event will also be available via webcast.

The update follows Playtech’s ongoing expansion in regulated markets, including its June launch in West Virginia, its fourth iGaming state entry in the US.

The company also recently partnered with operators such as BetMGM, DraftKings and Hard Rock Digital.

In parallel, Playtech continues to build its B2B reach globally, with previous deals signed in France (PMU), Ontario (High Roller) and other US states.
