Penn Entertainment has appointed Ronnie Jones, former Chair of the Louisiana Gaming Control Board, to its Compliance Committee as an independent, non-director member.
The appointment, that was approved by the company’s Board of Directors, brings Jones’ regulatory experience to Penn.
Indeed, he led Louisiana’s gaming oversight from 2013 to 2020, where he supervised operations across the state, including riverboat casinos, land-based facilities, racetrack gaming operations and more than 2,000 video poker establishments.

Jones worked for over 45 years in regulatory areas, including public service and over three decades with the Louisiana State Police.
He contributed to establishing the regulatory framework that supported Louisiana’s sports betting legalization in 2022.
