Fabrizio Romano has signed a global ambassador partnership with Betway Scores. The partnership marks the first of its kind for the sportsbook.
On LinkedIn, Betway Scores wrote: ‘Betway Scores – our live scores app from the Betway Group – has today signed Fabrizio Romano, the world’s most trusted football transfer journalist, as our first global ambassador! ‘With over 100 million followers and an unmatched record for breaking football news, Fabrizio will bring exclusive updates, insights and expert commentary straight to Betway Scores users.’
Romano also commented on the partnership, speaking in a video announcing the deal. He said he was “excited to announce the deal,” while also listing the various features of the Betway Scores app, including results, highlights and breaking news. He also used his signature “here we go” catchphrase.
An independent journalist and influencer, Romano began his career as a teenager, gaining traction in 2011 before being hired by Sky Sport Italy in 2012. He currently has close to 2.9 million YouTube followers with 340.3 million views.
Earlier this month, former Juventus and Arsenal player Thierry Henry signed a global ambassador role with Betway Scores’ parent group. Thierry comes with his own sporting pedigree, with a career lasting 30 years that includes both playing and coaching.
Betway Group also offers iGaming. In July, its Africa division partnered with Booming Games, bringing titles like Buffalo Hold and Win Extreme 10,000, Gold Gold Gold 5000 and Cash Pig 2 to the platform.
