Unsworth began her career in 2004 as an HR Assistant for the Devon Partnership NHS Trust. After a year, she became HR Officer for the Devon & Cornwall Housing Association and, three years later, she was appointed Human Resources Manager for The Prince’s Trust.

In September 2012, she was hired by The Walt Disney Company as its HR Business Partner for Licensing, Sales and Direct to Consumer for UK and Ireland, where she worked for two years. She was then promoted to HR Business Partner for Licensing and The Disney Channel in the EMEA region, where she also worked for two years.

Unsworth then joined Expedia Group, working for just over three years as HR Director, EMEA and later Senior HR Director, Global. She then spent four-and-a-half years with Travelport, being promoted from Senior People Director, Global to VP, People in September 2021.

Her latest role saw her appointed VP of People at Veriff, where she worked for just shy of a year and a half. She was also a Founder Member of Chief, a private women’s empowerment group, between May 2023 – April 2024.

On her move to Kambi, Unsworth said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Kambi, which has firmly established itself as a world leader in B2B sports betting provision. The opportunity to work with such talented individuals and to build upon the company’s strong, people-focused culture is incredibly exciting. I look forward to helping empower this team to achieve even greater success.”

Kambi CEO Werner Becher added: “Welcoming Michelle as our Chief People Officer reinforces our commitment to making people and culture a true strategic priority for Kambi. Michelle’s leadership and expertise will be instrumental in fostering an environment where our teams can thrive, innovate and grow together.”
