Loto-Québec reports revenue up 11% in Q1

Loto-Québec has reported robust financial performance for the first quarter of its 2025-2026 financial year, with total revenues reaching CAD $766.5m ($556.2m) for the 91-day period ending 30 June 2025.

This represents an increase of CAD $76.8m, or 11.1%, compared to the same period in the previous year.

The provincial gaming corporation generated consolidated net income of CAD $384.4m, marking a rise of CAD $34.7m or 9.9% year-over-year.

Commenting on the results, President and CEO Jean-François Bergeron stated: “Thanks to the sustained commitment of our teams, who are effectively leading several initiatives, we are continuing our momentum from last year, with results up after one quarter.

“The quarter saw some positive announcements, including the expansion of the convention centre at the Hôtel-Casino du Lac-Leamy, which will help strengthen Gatineau’s position as a prime destination for business tourism. We also announced the return of a popular comedy event to the Charlevoix Hôtel-Casino complex, which will enhance the entertainment offerings in this magnificent region.

“This start to the year is promising, and I am convinced that we will continue to deliver results that we can be collectively proud of because they benefit all of Quebec.”

Good to know: During the quarter, Loto-Québec created 42 new millionaires across Quebec, with nearly CAD $430m awarded to lottery winners

All three primary revenue streams contributed to the positive results. The casino and gaming hall sector recorded the strongest performance with revenues of CAD $323.4m, representing a 17.6% increase.

The lottery sector generated CAD $236.3m in revenues, up 7.8%, while gaming establishments contributed CAD $212.2m, reflecting a 5.7% growth.
