Online Casino of the Year 2025

BetMGM - BetMGM made its European debut in August 2023 in the crowded UK market where it quickly managed to stand out by bringing the unique Las Vegas glitz and glam to players across the Atlantic. Its 'unashamedly American' brand positioning has been supported by significant above-the-line ad spend with commercials featuring Chris Rock. Following a successful UK rollout, in 2024 BetMGM debuted in the Netherlands and in Sweden. The operator offers exclusive live table games experience, streamed directly from the iconic Bellagio and MGM Grand.

Hard Rock Casino NL – In 2024, Hard Rock Digital launched in the dynamic Dutch market, in partnership with Maastricht-based operator iCasino BV. Ever since making its debut, Hard Rock Casino NL has been working hard for a place at the Netherlands’ iGaming table, securing a range of partnerships with brands such as Bragg, BetComply, Stakelogic, to bolster its player offering and internal systems. It has not simply relied on a recognisable brand to gain traction, but has made itself a recognisable online casino in and of itself.

NetBet – NetBet is one of the most popular casinos in various regulated markets across Europe. In February 2024, it further expanded its reach across the continent by launching in Denmark. For its Danish launch, NetBet partnered with top providers Pragmatic Play and Push Gaming and shortly after, it partnered with providers such as Playson, Amusnet, G Games, Nolimit City, Wazdan, Evolution, Light & Wonder, Play’n GO, Stakelogic, Red Tiger, thus ensuring it has one of the widest games offerings. NetBet also signed a number of deals in Greece, Italy and the UK, adding even more games to its platform in those markets.

Betsson – In Q3 2024, Betsson reported a new all-time high for casino revenue – €209.9m, up 22% YoY. During this period, the operator expanded its offering with 359 new games, 27 of which had brand exclusivity. Gross turnover for the vertical also reached a new high of €9.42bn. In 2024, Betsson expanded its presence in Italy, by launching its namesake brand there, featuring an online casino offering including slots, table games and live casino. Betsson.it operates alongside the company’s StarCasinò which is well established in the country.

Coolbet – Coolbet is packed with casino games from 80+ providers, ensuring it has something for both new and experienced players. Coolbet strives to be fair, personal and transparent by showcasing information rarely seen on other gaming sites, a challenge uniquely met within the casino industry. The operator has tools designed to foster responsible gaming, including the RTP calculator, Betting Leaderboard and Winners feed. In 2024, Coolbet partnered with ThrillTech to enable players to enjoy bespoke jackpots designed to elevate their gaming experience.

PokerStars Casino – The largest poker site in the world is also home to 3,500 online games. It also owns and runs the most prestigious online series and live tournaments in the world, including the World Championship of Online Poker and the European Poker Tour. PokerStars had a busy start to 2024, partnering with suppliers Playson, Gaming Corps and RubyPlay across Spain, Romania and Italy in January alone – as part of a bid to enhance its European market presence.

Casumo – Casumo is one of the most distinctive and innovative online casino brands in Europe. Its mission has always been to design, improve, reinvent and shape the future of online gambling. It offers players more than 2,000 casino games from the industry’s best providers. In September, the operator unveiled a significant rebrand. It also recently announced a partnership with AI data science firm, Future Anthem, which will allow for the delivery of personalised game recommendations tailored to each player, further enhancing the overall customer experience.

Wildz – Wildz offers a wide selection of slots and it rewards players for their loyalty with Levelz. For every bet placed, players advance the progress bar. When they achieve a new Level, they get a spin on Levelz, which awards free spins to popular games and other prizes. At the start of 2024, Wildz revealed that its players have enjoyed a whopping 555,555,555 free spins since the platform opened in 2019. Another milestone for the operator in the past 12 months was celebrating its fifth anniversary by giving away fantastic prizes, the most impressive of which was a premium Ritz Carlton Yacht Collection cruise for two worth €25,000.

mycasino – mycasino, the online gaming brand of Grand Casino Luzern, is Switzerland’s pioneering igaming site. It boasts a cutting-edge library with exclusive titles regularly being added, as well as seamless deposit and withdrawal functionality. In 2024, it became the first online casino in the Swiss market to partner with Relax Gaming, ensuring it continues providing top-tier entertainment to its players by adding Relax’s impressive portfolio of games. It also partnered with Stakelogic Live. As part of the deal, mycasino uses Stakelogic Live’s Chroma Key Studio which allows it to project its branding onto live casino games.

CasinoBarcelona.es – Building on its land-based reputation, the digital arm of Casino Barcelona provides an entertainment-led player experience. It is dedicated to delivering the highest quality entertainment to players by continuing to expand its game library to meet the evolving demands of customers. In 2024, it signed content deals with RubyPlay and Gaming Corps, adding the suppliers’ top performing titles to its platform. It also integrated games from Spinomenal via Light & Wonder’s OpenGaming.
