The acquisition will include a range of game development technology, IP of proprietary gaming products and content, and will complement Everi’s existing game development studios and portfolio of titles. As part of the acquisition, Atlas’ engineering and development employees will join Everi. The deal also paves the way for the company to expand further into new international markets.
Dean Ehrlich, Executive Vice President and Games Business Leader, Everi, commented: “We are excited to welcome members of the talented and experienced Atlas team to Everi. We look forward to Atlas’ game developers and engineers bringing a global perspective that will help us execute a more robust product roadmap, and support our growth strategy of delivering best-in-class content.
“This transaction strengthens Everi’s development capabilities, and will further bolster the future expansion and differentiation of our gaming products. We expect to leverage the Atlas development team and purchased assets to provide more original content for our current customer base.”
Everi Holdings, formed in 2015 through a merger of financial services company Global Cash Access and gaming supplier Multimedia Games, processes in excess of 100 million cash transactions per year.
It offers its customers a suite of financial services tools to enable secure transactions, makes credit and debit transactions more efficient and helps protect against money-laundering.
Through its entertainment division, the company also develops gaming content via its three studios, as well as gaming systems and cabinets.
