Javier Samel joins Pragmatic Play as Country Director Argentina
Pragmatic Play has appointed Javier Samel as its new director for Argentina.
Samel has previously held roles as Head of Business Development LatAm at SportingTech, Operation Manager of Online Gaming Unit at Grupo Boldt and he has more than 12 years of experience across the gambling industry in the region.
His appointment for this role marks the expansion of Pragmatic Play’s localisation strategy across Latin America.
In his new role, Samel will be reporting to Victor Arias, the VP of Latin America operations.
Arias commented: “Javier has a wealth of experience across LatAm and we’re very pleased to welcome him to our growing team. Focusing on Argentina, it’s a market we’re looking to grow rapidly in and can’t wait to get started.”
Pragmatic Play has recently launched into the Buenos Aires market, following the awarding of its authorisation there.
After being granted the operating licence for the Argentian market, the provider has announced deals with numerous operators.
One of its first partnerships was with Winonfire; the deal saw Pragmatic Play’s live casino, virtual sports and slots launch with the operator.
Another important deal was with BPlay; this was followed by an agreement with Jugadon and the latest expansion announcement was with Latin American operator Locobet.
The provider produces up to five new slot titles every month and delivers live casino, virtual sports and bingo games as part of its multi-product portfolio .
