Novomatic attains G4 certificate in Italy and Spain
Austrian supplier Novomatic has received G4 certification in Italy and Spain, marking its "strong commitment to player protection and the protection of minors."
The certification by the Global Gambling Guidance Group has been highlighted by Novomatic as a sign of its responsible gambling focus, further promoting its safer gambling certifications in Austria, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK.
Johannes Gratzl, Member of the Executive Board of Novomatic, commented on the new G4 certification: “The successful G4 certification according to the highest international player protection standard that we now have in Italy and Spain is a remarkable success for us and proves the high importance of player and youth protection at Novomatic”.
Meanwhile, Ynze Remmers, Lead Auditor at G4, added: “G4, as a worldwide accreditation program, urges the gambling industry to take responsibility and minimise the impact of problem gambling on communities.
“Novomatic, successfully passing audits in their five biggest markets and the Netherlands, coupled with the most recent successful audits in Italy and Spain, is showing that the chosen route is working. Novomatic demonstrates that responsible gambling and harm minimisation is a top priority.”
The Italian concessionaire will become a part of Novomatic’s business, which has been operating in the country for the past 15 years.
Now the deal is complete, Novomatic has more than 3,000 new employees on its roster – adding to its nearly 22,000 across the globe.
