Rootz, an iGaming operator and solutions provider, has made several changes to its executive management, with former CEO and Co-Founder of Rootz, Lasse Rantala, stepping down to transition to Chair of the Board and Sam Brown assuming the role of CEO.
Brown previously held the position of CCO at the company, having joined Rootz in June 2022.
With over 15 years of experience in the iGaming industry, Brown has held executive positions across several organisations, including Ladbrokes, Betfair and Betsson.
Most recently, Brown was the Live Casino Director at NetEnt, the CEO of Rolla, and CCO of both Hero Gaming and Rootz.
On his appointment, Brown said: "After an exciting first year at Rootz my passion for the business has only grown stronger.
“We have a great vision for the future, and have the people, technology, and ambition to deliver it.
“It’s an honour to be entrusted with the next phase of the Rootz journey."
Despite stepping away from the role of CEO, Rantala will still have an influence over company decisions.
As Chair of the Board, Rantala will guide Rootz initiatives going forward and ensure the other members of the board implement company direction and strategy.
On the transition, Rantala said: "As I pass on the mantle of CEO to Sam, I am filled with immense pride and confidence.

Earlier this year, Rootz signed a distribution deal with Air Dice Group, to add games from the game developer into its catalogue.
