Jackpocket, a US-based lottery, has partnered with convenience store Circle K to launch in the state of Massachusetts.

Players will be able to play a range of games offered by Jackpocket, including Powerball and Mega Millions, MassCash, Megabucks Doubler, Lucky for Life and The Numbers Game.

Peter Sullivan, Jackpocket CEO, said: “Jackpocket is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year and it’s amazing to see our growth in creating a safe and convenient lottery experience.

“This is an exciting time for Jackpocket as we take the lead showcasing how gaming can be a safe, fun, and integral piece of generating state revenues.

“Proceeds from the Massachusetts Lottery go to local programmes and organisations that make a real tangible impact for Massachusettsans every day.”

As Jackpocket is a lottery courier service, the app allows customers to purchase tickets through its platform from a licensed lottery retailer, such as Circle K.

The ticket is then stored on the app, alongside an image of it, as well as any details of the win.

If players do win, then they can claim their prize either from Jackpocket or directly from the Massachusetts Lottery.

Melissa Lessard, Circle K Head of North American Marketing, said: “We’re proud to partner with Jackpocket in Massachusetts and make this fun and convenient experience available to every lottery player across the state.

“At Circle K, we are always looking for ways to make life a little easier for our customers and providing the opportunity for customers to order official state lottery tickets with just the tap of a button through the Jackpocket app is yet another example of that commitment.”

This isn’t the only state that the lottery app has launched in this summer, with Jackpocket announcing its Nebraska debut back in June.
