BetMGM has launched Aristocrat’s Buffalo slots game for online players in New Jersey after the game gained widespread popularity at retail casinos during the last 10 years.
The game has been reimagined for online play by Anaxi – Aristocrat’s online Real Money Gaming business – and will debut in Pennsylvania and Michigan in the near future.
The launch comes after a deal between Anaxi and BetMGM was signed back in February, marking a partnership between two of the largest iGaming companies in North America – as well as the first collaboration between the two that will launch on BetMGM.
Cath Burns, COO of Anaxi, said of the launch: “The stampede has officially begun and we’re thrilled that BetMGM players can now enjoy the iconic Buffalo game online.”
Meanwhile, Matt Prevost, Chief Revenue Officer at BetMGM, added: “BetMGM is honoured to be the first online destination for Buffalo.
"We are ready to bring the thrill and excitement of Buffalo to our players in New Jersey and additional states this fall. Anaxi captured the fast-paced elements of Buffalo, which players love and are now able to experience in the palm of their hands.”
The news comes shortly after BetMGM revealed that it had launched its iGaming sports betting brand in the UK – without using Entain’s platform, as it does in North America.
The UK launch prompted an Entain spokesperson to later comment: “Entain operates a well-known portfolio of respected brands as well as an established online and retail presence.
“We do not consider that this new launch will make any impact to our business or indeed the market."
