In August 2023, New Jersey reported its highest July gaming revenue in over a decade, with total gaming revenue reaching $506.2m, a 5% increase from July 2022. Year-to-date total gaming revenue was $3.23bn, reflecting an 11% annual rise.

Mark Giannantonio, President of the Casino Association of New Jersey, emphasised the significance of this endeavour, stating: "Every day, more than 700 women in the US are diagnosed with breast cancer. This is a disease that impacts all of us, from all walks of life, and it’s critically important that we do our part to raise awareness and encourage people to donate and take action."

Atlantic City's casinos will support Breast Cancer Awareness Month through a range of activities and events:

Bally's Atlantic City: Bally’s is offering pink cocktails, mocktails and desserts at various venues, with a portion of all sales going towards Breast Cancer Awareness. The property is also illuminating its Pacific Avenue entrance and Level Six dining area in pink.

Caesars Entertainment's Atlantic City Resorts: Tropicana, Caesars and Harrah’s Resort are "going pink," with pink lights throughout their exteriors. Tropicana will donate all coins tossed in its fountain during October to the American Cancer Society. Caesars and Harrah’s Resort are also participating in the Men Wear Pink campaign.

Golden Nugget Atlantic City: Members of the executive team at Golden Nugget will be participating in the Men Wear Pink campaign and the property is featuring a Pink Drink throughout October, with a portion of the proceeds donated to the American Cancer Society.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City: Hard Rock Atlantic City is hosting Pinktober events, offering food and beverage items, and making limited-edition merchandise available. They will also participate in the Making Strides Walk in Ocean City, NJ and offer mammography screenings for team members. Last year's campaign raised over $1m for breast cancer awareness and research.

Ocean Casino Resort: Ocean Casino Resort is an event sponsor of the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk and is featuring the Pink Paloma Cocktail during October, with $2 from each drink sold being donated to the American Cancer Society.

Resorts Casino Hotel: Resorts Men of Gaming are raising money for the Men Wear Pink Campaign, and the property's exterior lights will turn pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.
