Betting platform provider Playbook Engineering has recently appointed Jonathan Chilton as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO).
With over 19 years of experience in the industry, Chilton joins Playbook Engineering from GM Gaming Limited, a Betway group company under the Super Group/SGHC umbrella.
At GM Gaming, he held various positions over six years, including CEO/COO, Operations Director and Executive Director.
Prior to his role at GM Gaming, Chilton spent 12 years working at Osiris Trading in South Africa, where he held a variety of positions at the Johannesburg-based company.
Playbook Engineering has been steadily expanding its global presence and Chilton's appointment is expected to contribute to the company's operational and strategic management, governance and compliance.
The move is part of the company's strategy to penetrate mature and regulated markets such as the United States and Ontario.
Chilton expressed his enthusiasm about joining Playbook Engineering, stating: “I am delighted to join Playbook at such a critical point in their journey and am very excited about contributing to the company's strategy and ambition to take their platform global.”
Playbook Engineering's recent series of high-profile appointments aims to improve the company's reputation as a global player in the sports and casino industry.
The addition of Chilton as COO follows the appointment of Luke Cousins as Commercial Director in July and Ivo Doroteia as CEO in February.
