Octoplay obtains Ontario licence for gaming expansion
Octoplay previously acquired licences from regulatory bodies like the Gambling Commission of Great Britain, the Malta Gaming Authority and the Swedish Gaming Authority.
Supplier Octoplay has recently secured a supplier permit from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). This permit grants Octoplay access to the Ontario market, allowing licensed operators within the jurisdiction to feature its suite of slot machine games.
Operators licensed in Ontario can now integrate Octoplay’s remote game server, increasing their gaming portfolio by offering a range of slot titles. This collection includes games such as Pearly Shores, Lolicat and Bullet Bonanza.
Martina Borg Stevens, Legal Director of Octoplay, said: “We are thrilled to have secured this licence, being the fourth licence we have acquired in 2023. We have been clear about our mission to obtain a licence in every single regulated market and this is a testament to this.”

This development in Ontario follows Octoplay’s recent expansion into the Romanian market through direct integration with Superbet, an operator in the region.
The collaboration introduced a selection of online slot titles, including Pearly Shores and Star Kingdom, into Superbet’s gaming portfolio.
In August 2023, AGCO also granted sports betting supplier Amelco a licence to offer its suite of games to the Ontario market.
