As anticipation for the Cheltenham Festival builds, bet365 has unveiled a new offer that will open up NRNB options for horse racing enthusiasts.
Pat Cooney, spokesperson for bet365, offered insights into the betting trends leading up to the festival, commenting: “Typically, the market leaders in these races are the most popular choices, and certainly the Constitution Hill, El Fabiolo and Galopin Des Champs treble features heavily in multiple selections since going NRNB.
“Punters tend to also go for horses which have a Plan B, for example, connections of Bob Olinger would be reluctant to run in the Champion Hurdle, but if the main contenders became doubtful, if he ran, he would be an interesting runner.
“Dinoblue is probably going for the Mares Chase, but is owned by JP McManus, who, of course, owns Jonbon in the Champion Chase. If he became a non-runner, then Dinoblue may well take her chances. We’ve seen money for her.”
Looking beyond the popular races, Cooney delved into the wider betting landscape, stating: “Both the Ryanair and Stayers Hurdle remain wide open, but the Gold Cup has seen plenty of NRNB interest with many thinking outside the box!
“For example, easy Welsh National winner Nassalam is 40/1, and unlikely to run, unless heavy ground, but if it was on the day, he’d be a lot shorter in price.
“It’s always interesting to see where the money is after going NRNB, and this year is no exception!”
This news comes after the announcement made earlier this month that bet365 had made £3.39bn ($4.29bn) in sports and gaming revenue across 2023, a figure that marked a 19% increase in revenue year-on-year, despite reporting an operating loss.
