B2B iGaming provider WA.Technology has entered into a joint venture with NE Group to launch WA Africa, expanding its presence into African markets.

This collaboration aims to leverage NE Group's experience in the African market to offer customised omnichannel platforms for new ventures across the continent.

The objective is to provide localised platforms integrating mobile, retail and online provisions, supported by a specialised team for the African market.

NE Group, known for its NE Sportsbook and NE Games verticals, contributes a modular platform that combines sportsbook and casino experiences. This approach is designed to improve user engagement and retention.

Imran Bukhari, NE Group CEO, said: "Synergy between both companies is exceptional; we are thrilled to have created this true partnership with WA.Technology. Under Tim Scoffham's leadership, their focus on global expansion, combined with our specialised sports betting platform and lightweight frontend solution for Africa, empowers sports betting operators to scale fast with confidence while delivering exceptional user experiences."

This recent collaboration follows WA.Technology's strategic partnership with LatAm Entertainment, focusing on entering the Latin America iGaming market. Latam Entertainment, a regional consulting and advisory agency, provides legal and financial advice, licensing support and networking opportunities.

NE Group recently appointed Craig Harris as Head of Games, bringing 20 years of industry experience. This appointment is part of NE Group's expansion efforts, with a focus on building a presence in Africa and Latin America, extending the reach of its gaming apps, including Cricdesi.
