GGPoker has announced a collaboration with Great Canadian Entertainment to bring the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit event to Toronto.
Scheduled to take place from 22 March to 1 April 2024, at the Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto, this marks the first time the WSOP Circuit event will be held in the city.
The event will feature eight Circuit Ring tournaments, offering a combined estimated prize pool of $3.9m.
Among the highlights are a $2,000 Main Event with an estimated prize pool of $2.1m and a $3,500 High Roller event with over $850,000 in prizes.

This is a fitting milestone that will create further momentum for our 30-table poker room that recently opened at Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto, Canada’s newest and largest casino resort.

In addition to online qualifiers, GGPoker is offering satellite tournaments across Ontario and Canada, with buy-ins starting at $1.
The platform will also be represented at the WSOP Circuit event by its Brand Ambassadors, including poker player Daniel Negreanu, a Toronto native.
Negreanu commented: "I have been playing WSOP events around the world for over 25 years. There is something quite special about being able to finally compete in one in my hometown.”
The announcement of the WSOP Circuit event in Toronto follows GGPoker's launch of the Bounty Hunters Series, featuring a $100m prize guarantee. The series, known for its knockout-centric format, aims to provide players with prize opportunities.
Great Canadian Entertainment has also made developments in improving customer experiences, including the introduction of the Great Canadian Rewards loyalty program, which allows for online registration and offers various perks to members.
