Caesars Sportsbook says it has become the first operator to introduce legalised mobile sports betting in North Carolina, operating exclusively on tribal lands of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.

Facilitated under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, this initiative marks a milestone in the state's sports wagering landscape.

Residents aged 21 and above can now register for the Caesars Sportsbook app, available on iOS and Android platforms.

Cash deposits and withdrawals for mobile accounts are facilitated at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort and Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel.

Eric Hession, Caesars Digital President, said: “Launching Caesars Sportsbook for pre-registration in Kentucky is an exciting step as we prepare to bring customers in the Commonwealth a sports wagering experience that treats them like royalty this fall.”

Users will have access to the Caesars Rewards loyalty program, earning Tier Credits and Reward Credits for wagering activities.

Additionally, Caesars promises to focus on Responsible Gaming education and practices, ensuring adherence to age restrictions and promoting guest safety.

In September 2023, Caesars Sportsbook launched in Kentucky, marking the arrival of mobile sports betting in the state. Additionally, Caesars Entertainment has maintained a longstanding partnership with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.
