Rootz has made a new addition to its leadership team with the appointment of industry specialist Maria Boelius as Chief Revenue and Operations Officer.
Boelius brings relevant experience to her new role, having previously owned and operated online casinos and affiliate companies, as well as holding senior positions in established organisations within the industry.
Her journey in iGaming began as the Country Coordinator for Finland at Redbet, followed by the establishment of her own affiliate marketing network – MH Media – that focused on SEO for lead generation websites.
Subsequently, she co-founded and served as CEO of Mozebra, an online casino company that was later acquired by Spiffbet, where she continued as COO.

In her new role at Rootz, Boelius is focused on achieving harmony between revenue generation and operational efficiency, aiming to leverage her expertise to drive the company's growth trajectory.
With regard to Boelius’ appointment, Sam Brown, CEO of Rootz, stated: “Maria is a seasoned professional and experienced leader, with a style and drive that aligns closely with our core values at Rootz.
“She brings a wealth of practical expertise to the business and I’m confident she will add strength, depth and diversity to our ever-evolving leadership team.”
Boelius herself added: “What drew me to Rootz is the integrity of the company, the reputation of which I have admired for some time. It’s a pleasure to work with the teams in what I believe is going to be a productive and rewarding time.”
