Tecnet Asia announced its sponsorship of local football club Cebu FC to further promote and support local sports.
Supplier Tecnet Asia has announced its sponsorship of Dynamic Herb Cebu (Cebu FC), a local football club in the Philippines, marking its first step into supporting local sports at grassroot level.
Suat Sirin, President of Tecnet Asia, emphasised the company’s desire to contribute to the community through their support of Cebu FC. He stated: “Expanding our product offerings through exclusive partnerships with reputable brands has led to significant growth for us. Now we want to give back to the community.”
Sirin highlighted the potential of Filipino talent in football and expressed Tecnet Asia’s intention to aid in showcasing it. He noted the importance of football as a global sport and saw the potential of the Philippines emerging as a hub for the sport in Southeast Asia.
Backing local teams like Cebu FC aligns with Tecnet Asia’s goal to strenghten its presence in international competitions, potentially attracting more tourists and stimulating economic growth. Moreover, the company sees parallels between football and gaming as forms of entertainment, anticipating that increased tourism could foster greater interest in gaming.
Ugur Tasci, the owner of Cebu FC, expressed gratitude for Tecnet’s support, emphasising the significance of sponsors for the team’s aspirations in the Philippine Football League and beyond. Eren Kereci, representing Tecnet Asia, affirmed the company’s commitment to continue supporting Cebu FC and local football.
