SkillOnNet announces partnership with Playtech in Buenos Aires

In a deal that broadens SkillOnNet’s content and partnership portfolio, Playtech has agreed to distribute its gaming content through SkillOnNet’s Argentine online casino platform – PlayUzu.

Launched in August 2023, SkillOnNet’s Spanish-language online casino, PlayUzu, is from the same family as PlayOjo, and has been developed in partnership with local land-based operator BuenosAiresSlots. Now, the integration of Playtech’s gaming options will aim to enhance its player experience through the diversification of its games portfolio.

Recently, Playtech announced revenue growth of 7% for FY2023 and the supplier will be hoping this latest partnership – alongside its recent collaboration with Fortuna in Europe – will solidify the company’s forward trajectory.

Playtech’s Senior Commercial Director, Diane Crookes, said: “We have maintained a long-established relationship with SkillOnNet and this edition is a great endorsement of the collaborative nature of our relationship. We understand the importance of providing great, localised content and we are very excited to see how our games perform in Buenos Aires City and look forward to the next few months.”

SkillOnNet will be looking to turn a corner after being hit with five Anti Money Laundering (AML) breaches by the Danish Gambling Authority in early April.

SkillOnNet representative Jani Kontturi also spoke on this latest joint venture: “Playtech is one of the most reputable providers of casino content in the industry and has a long-garnered reputation for being a Tier1 supplier. Our entry into Buenos Aires has massively exceeded our expectations.

“Our transparent and ‘player first’ approach has really appealed to players and therefore it’s important to keep offering the best games in the market, and why I’m really pleased that we can now offer Playtech’s games to our Argentinian audience.”
