Exclusive: FanDuel reveals live dealer experience with Rob Gronkowski
The sportsbook's casino app will feature a roulette experience in collaboration with the NFL legend.
In news sent exclusively to Gambling Insider & Gaming America, FanDuel has announced a live dealer experience with four-time NFL Superbowl winner Rob Gronkowski.
Available for FanDuel players in New Jersey, bettors who join the casino roulette table on the platform will be greeted by the ex-New England Patriots & Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end, and legendary partner to Tom Brady – Gronkowski.
Gronkowski will also be able to communicate with players by responding to their comments in the chat box, making this the first instance in which a celebrity will be able to interact with players in a virtual live-dealer setting.
This is not the first time Gronkowski has teamed up with FanDuel, as the two have collaborated on two ‘Kick of Destiny’ campaigns. Taking place at the Super Bowl, players bet on Gronkowski to either make or not make a single kick in order to win a portion of the $10m prize pool.
Gronkowski missed the kick the first time, before returning to Superbowl LVIII, stating, “I’m going to show America I can make that kick.”
FanDuel has also just released its Q1 financial results for 2024. The sportsbook reported a rise in its gross gaming revenue market share to 27% – bringing it above BetMGM to make it the US market leader in sports betting and iGaming.
Elsewhere, FanDuel also released its sports betting platform in Washington DC. This move, alongside the Gronkowski campaign(s), further solidifies its brand recognition across the North American market.
