William Hill has agreed a deal with technology platform 2mee as it looks to enhance its player engagement.

Through the deal, William Hill will utilise 2mee’s propriety HoloMessage® solution to deliver video messages from its team and brand influencers as clickable pop-up's across its website and app.

Influencers will record messages on their smartphones, which will go through the 2mee platform to target customers at strategic points.

In its first campaign using the platform, William Hill targeted a segmented audience with a HoloMessage® which looked to drive players to opt-in for marketing campaigns.

As a result of this, the single influencer HoloMessage® saw a 340% uplift in engagement compared with a persistent banner ad being present for 31 days.

On top of this, the HoloMessage® solution can be used for retaining players and winning back players to a site, as well as attracting new players.

2mee CEO James Riley said: “We are thrilled to be working with such a high-calibre operator and for William Hill to have enjoyed such a significant uplift in engagement, sign-ups and ultimately revenues from the very first deployment of 2mee’s HoloMessage®.

“This is of course just the start of our partnership and we have already identified many other areas in which HoloMessage® can strengthen engagement, foster brand loyalty and ultimately provide a significant boost to customer lifetime value and revenue.”

William Hill Head of Personalisation & Product Matt Baulk added: “We've achieved remarkable success with our initial deployment of HoloMessage®, leading us to expand its usage across various touch points in the customer journey, from compliance messaging to sportsbook offers.

“The technology's simplicity, from recording to deployment, makes it incredibly user-friendly.”

In other company news, William Hill was recently confirmed as the new title sponsor of the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL)
