The 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event has set a new attendance record, with 10,112 participants. This surpasses the previous year's record of 10,043 entrants.

The 55th annual tournament has generated a total prize pool of $94,041,600 – the largest in live tournament poker history.

A single-day attendance record was also set on 6 July, when 5,014 participants joined during flight 1D. The WSOP Main Event will award the champion a $10m first-place prize, with payouts to the top 1,517 players.

The Final Table will see significant payouts, with each of the nine players guaranteed at least $1m.

The first-place winner will receive $10m, the runner-up will get $6m and the third-place finisher will earn $4m.

The remaining payouts for the Final Table range from $3m for fourth place to $1m for the ninth-place finisher.

Additional notable payouts include $800,000 for the 10th place, $350,000 for 26th place and $250,000 for 44th place. The minimum cash prize is set at $15,000.

The 2024 WSOP Main Event champion will also receive the Main Event gold bracelet, unveiled on 8 July at Horseshoe Las Vegas by Jack Binion, a Founding Father of the WSOP.

Crafted by Jostens, the bracelet features approximately 445 grams of 10-karat yellow gold and 2,253 gemstones, including 1,948 round diamonds, 230 black onyx stones and 75 red rubies.

The new season of the WSOP Circuit tournament will begin in Tallinn, Estonia, from July 19 to July 28, in partnership with OlyBet Group. The event will be held at the Olympic Park Casino and Hilton Hotel, featuring a €1m ($1.082m) guaranteed main event and 12 WSOP ring events.

The Tallinn festival will also include over 40 side events and 24/7 cash games. Winners of the ring events will earn a World Series of Poker gold ring, granting entry to the 2025 WSOP Tournament of Champions.

The 2024 WSOP season began with Jonathan Marchessault delivering the ceremonial ‘Shuffle Up and Deal’ at Paris Las Vegas and Horseshoe Las Vegas.
