Supplier Beter Live has appointed Alina Mihaela Popa as its new CCO. Popa, with nearly a decade of industry experience, has previously held account management and business development roles at Pragmatic Play and Skywind Group.
Her appointment coincides with Beter Live's ongoing expansion, which includes new products, market launches and operator partnerships.
At Pragmatic Play, Popa started as an Account Manager, focusing on client relationship management. She later joined Skywind Group, where she held positions such as Senior Partnership Management Team Lead and Senior Business Development Manager. During her tenure, she secured partnerships and contributed to revenue growth across B2B and B2C operations.
In her role at Beter Live, Popa will manage commercial activities, including forming new partnerships with operators in regulated markets globally. She will reportedly also ensure that existing partners leverage Beter Live's live content offerings.
Popa commented: “I am delighted to join Beter Live and contribute to the company’s ambitious vision and goals. My main objectives are to build a strong commercial department that can onboard partners seamlessly and strengthen our position as a leading live content provider.”
Beter Live is an operator in the live content sector with a portfolio of games aimed at engaging core player audiences, including Millennials and Gen Z. The company has formed several strategic partnerships recently, such as agreements with Novibet in January and Superbet in April. Last year, Beter also partnered with Digitain and Grid, among others.
In June 2024, Beter (a separate division to Beter Live) announced a partnership with SportyBet, marking its first collaboration with an African operator.
