Tote has been named as the Official Sponsor of the Racing League for the 2024 campaign.
Racing League begins today (25 July) and will take place over the course of six consecutive Thursday evenings at different UK racecourses, starting at Yarmouth, before also going to Wolverhampton, Chepstow, Windsor, Newcastle and Southwell.
The 2024 edition will consist of seven teams across 42 races and the total prize money for it will exceed £2m ($2.58m).
UK Tote Group UK Chief Commercial Officer Dave Hammond said: "Partnering with Racing League as Official Sponsor for 2024 is a great opportunity for Tote. We believe this collaboration allow us to support innovative racing with excellent prize money for participants and exciting action on the track for racing fans.
“The Tote is offering guaranteed £50,000 Placepots at every Racing League meeting, along with Tote Guarantee making sure we’re bringing the value for every Tote customer, betting on course, online or via the Tote App.”
Racing League CEO Jeremy Wray added: “This is a great partnership for Racing League. Our competitive large field handicaps are best suited by the Tote’s betting products – two years ago the second ever largest Tote Placepot dividend of £129,858 was achieved at a Racing League meeting – let’s see if we can beat that this year!”
In other horseracing news, Sky Bet last week partnered with York Racecourse to bring the Sky Bet Ebor Festival charity event to life, with charities and local groups having until 31 July to enter.
