Digital gaming supplier Playson has made further inroads into the Peruvian market, gaining approval from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) for the acquisition of a B2B supplier licence.

Following this latest development, Playson now holds licences across seven national jurisdictions, including Greece, Romania, Singapore and the UK.

This expansive move into Peru will look to further bolster the supplier's presence in the burgeoning LatAm market, as the company undergoes a period of expansion which saw its original introduction to the Peruvian market in June via partnership with BoyleSports

It has been a busy summer for Playson, which also drew up a number of collaborations across the European continent in June this year, partnering with Premier Gaming, Sportbet and Luckia in Sweden, Italy and Spain respectively. Now, it will need to adapt its offerings for players in Peru to solidify its presence on the ground in Latin America.

Tamas Kusztos, Playson CCO, commented on the development, saying: “As we seek to bring more engaging experiences to players in new markets, obtaining a licence in Peru is a significant strategic move. The market stands out as one of the most promising in the LatAm region and we look forward to establishing a prominent position in the country.”

In February, Peru became the fourth LatAm jurisdiction to fully regulate its online gambling market. Since that time, it has seen a flurry of activity, alongside major changes to the broader LatAm landscape with Brazil following suit and releasing its own ordinances pertaining to the legalisation of online gaming.
