Zitro has appointed Albert Zorrilla as its new General Director for Spain. Zorrilla, who has over a decade of experience in international business, marketing and gaming, takes on the role as the company seeks to strengthen its operations in one of its primary markets.
In addition to his background in business management, Zorrilla has experience in gaming legislation and has worked with regional authorities and industry associations.
His appointment is expected to support Zitro’s focus on expanding its presence in Spain, where the company already holds a significant market share.
In July 2024, the company formed new departments dedicated to environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues.
These include an ESG Corporate Committee and an Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) department, both aimed at promoting sustainability within the company’s operations.
The new Integrated Management Systems (IMS) department oversees Zitro’s compliance with ISO standards, ensuring its sustainability efforts meet international requirements.
Earlier in 2024, Zitro also expanded its digital gaming operations. The company received approval from Peru’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism to operate as a licensed online slot supplier.
This expansion allowed Zitro’s digital offerings, including games such as Link King and Epic Kingdom, to become available through licensed platforms in the Peruvian market.
Zitro's recent activities in Spain and Latin America and its focus on sustainability initiatives reflect ongoing efforts to maintain and grow its market position. The company has also increased its footprint in Latin America by securing deals with PlayCity Casino and launching new products in Panama and Mexico.
