Intralot’s subsidiary, Intralot Australia, has signed a contract extension with the state lottery of Western Australia, Lotterywest.
This new deal will extend the current agreement between the pair for a further two years, with there being an option to extend for one more year on top of that.
Lotterywest and Intralot Australia have collaborated for the last 17 years, and this extension means the supplier will continue to provide its lottery operating system and services to the operator.
Meanwhile, Intralot has sought to elevate the player experience for Lotterywest’s users during the course of this agreement; it has also helped the company to support good causes within the Western Australian community.
This follows on from Intralot also extending two of its contracts in other regions around the world, namely in the Netherlands and in Ireland.
Within the Netherlands, Intralot Benelux has extended its contract with Nederlandse Loterij Organisatie (NLO) until June 2027, with Intralot continuing to provide operations and management services to the retail sportsbook brand from NLO, called Toto.
With regards to Ireland, Intralot will continue to support Premier Lotteries Ireland (PLI) through its advanced central gaming system, with the new contract running until November 2027.
In other news from Australia this week, a new study has been undertaken by Freshwater Strategy related to gambling advertising in the county. The survey found that 56% of respondents support targeted, sensible restrictions on gambling ads, while only 37% favoured a total ban.
