Totogaming, an operator that entered the Romanian market in January 2024, has announced a new partnership with CFR Cluj, the eight-time champions of Romanian football.
The collaboration will span the 2024/25 and 2025/26 football seasons, marking Totogaming’s first sports partnership in Romania.
The partnership aims to strengthen ties between the two organisations and promote the development of football in Romania.
Totogaming, with a 20-year history in Armenia, has previously sponsored five Armenian football clubs. However, this agreement with CFR Cluj is its first venture into Romanian sports.
Totogaming CEO Harutyun Vardanyan commented: "This collaboration was anticipated. Supporting the development of sports and promoting a healthy lifestyle have been core principles of Totogaming from the beginning. CFR Cluj exemplifies these championship values. The club, with its 100-year history, knows what it takes to become a champion."
CFR Cluj, which has a track record in Romanian football, is expected to benefit from Totogaming’s support during the two-year agreement. The partnership is aimed at enhancing the team’s capabilities and creating a more engaging and inspiring environment for Romanian football fans.
In March 2024, Totogaming partnered with game developer Wazdan to expand its online casino offerings in Romania, adding 12 of Wazdan’s slot games to its platform. The partnership helped bolster Totogaming’s presence in the region, with plans to introduce additional games in the coming months.
