Key points:

  • The two companies have been active partners in New Jersey since 2020
  • This latest announcement follows a major European move initiated by the two organisations in Spain last month

Playtech has strengthened its pre-existing relationship with bet365, with the pair expanding their partnership into the state of Pennsylvania.

The partnership began in the US in 2020 when Playtech launched its casino content via bet365 in the state of New Jersey, debuting their collaborative efforts in the US. Now, this latest chapter in their arrangement sees the introduction of Playtech’s content to players in the Pennsylvanian market via the bet365 platform.

Speaking on this latest development, a bet365 spokesperson said: “We are thrilled to expand our partnership with Playtech into Pennsylvania. Our collaboration has consistently delivered innovative and exciting gaming experiences for our players. We look forward to developing upon our already solid partnership as we continue to grow our offering and achieve new milestones together in the US market.”

Good to know: bet365 also extended its partnership agreement with Inspired into the state of Pennsylvania in July as part of its summer expansion initiative in the US

Further, this latest occurrence in the US follows Playtech and bet365’s recent joint venture launch of a new Super Spin Roulette product in the Spanish market in early September.

Playtech has enjoyed a busy end to Q3, which concluded with the agreement to sell its Italian sports betting and gaming company, Snaitech, to Flutter Entertainment for a sum of €2.3bn ($2.56bn). This news was followed by the report of the company’s H1 results, in which revenue rose by 5% year-over-year to €906.8m.

Chief Product Innovation Officer at Playtech Live, Kevin Kilminster, also spoke on the partnership extension: “We are excited to extend this partnership into another US state, continuing to support bet365 with solutions to support their strategic objective by creating new and engaging content for their customers.

"Together, we have developed many innovative solutions, dedicated environments and bespoke games across many markets, and we look forward to further strengthening our successful partnership with this world-class operator.”
