BC.Game responds after reports that company was declared bankrupt

BC.Game has released a statement in response to its ongoing legal dispute in Curaçao, announcing that it will appeal the rulings against the organisation.

Reports earlier in the week had suggested that Blockdance BV and Small House BV, which operate BC.Game from Curaçao, were declared bankrupt. 

The company now says it has been involved in legal actions brought by some players who claimed system issues led to user losses, allegations which BC.Game has strongly denied, also revealing that its own investigations found inconsistencies in the cases. 

It has told stakeholders it has no issues with liquidity or financial stability, and that its legal case is administrative and nothing to do with bankruptcy. 

The BC.Game management team said: "We strongly disagree with the court's recent rulings and will vigorously appeal the decision, as we believe it failed to adequately consider key facts. 

“BC.Game is confident in our ability to demonstrate compliance and uphold our reputation as a legitimate operator in the industry.”

The company went on further to say: "We are evaluating the most robust options to safeguard the company's continued operations and maintain strict compliance with industry standards. Our users' trust and satisfaction are our top priorities." 

Leicester City Football Club, which agreed a principal partnership with the online gaming platform in the summer, also released a statement related to the matter. 

Good to know: BC.Game attained a licence from Curaçao's LOK framework in April    

A club spokesman said: "We have been and continue to be in regular discussions with BC.Game with regard to an active legal case in Curaçao. BC.Game have provided the club with the strongest assurances that they are actively appealing this case, and that the process which has been initiated in Curaçao is administrative in nature and has not arisen due to any concerns with their financial standing.  

"BC.Game have further assured us that they have no issues with liquidity and that they remain fully committed to meeting their ongoing contractual and financial obligations, including to the club, and that this case will not impact on BC.Game’s continuing international operations." 

In other legal news today, IGT has disclosed that it is investigating a cybersecurity breach that affected portions of its internal IT systems.
