Key points:
- Kambi is set to provide its sportsbook solution to Wind Creek Hospitality
- The tribal operator will use the solution to power its on-site sportsbook at its new Chicago Southland resort property
- The gaming and entertainment resort site opened on 11 November
Kambi Group has entered into a new partnership with Wind Creek Hospitality, which will see the supplier power the on-site sportsbook at the tribal operator’s new Chicago Southland gaming and entertainment resort development.
The new arrangement sees Kambi provide its sportsbook solution, including its bet builder and betting kiosks, to the Wind Creek organisation, which recently opened a new gaming resort in the Chicago Southland on 11 November.
The resort features a game floor containing 1,400 slot machines, 56 table games and, as per this new agreement, an on-property sportsbook. Further, Kambi has expressed the potential for possible online expansion, provisions for which are included as part of the new contract.
Earlier this month, Kambi entered into a similar collaborative effort with VIP Play, for the provision of its sportsbook solution to the operator’s ZenSports brand in Tennessee. This news closely followed the release of the supplier’s Q3 2024 results, which highlighted a marginal revenue rise of 2% to €43m ($45.2m) year-on-year.
Werner Becher, Kambi Group CEO, said: “We’re delighted to partner with Wind Creek Hospitality to bring our sportsbook technology to Wind Creek Chicago Southland. This deal not only showcases the trust tribal operators place in Kambi but also our continued commitment to delivering superior sports betting experiences. We look forward to collaborating closely with Wind Creek to offer an exciting sportsbook at their new venture in Chicago.”
Good to know: In September, Kambi dismissed rumours that it was subject to a potential acquisition by Genius Sports
Last week, Wind Creek Hospitality provided acquisition-related news of its own, confirming it is set to finalise its acquisition of Birmingham Racecourse and Casino in Alabama by early 2025. Back in May, the operator was in the courts, receiving a $125,000 fine from the PGCB for underage gambling violations.
Brent Pinkston, Wind Creek Hospitality COO, also commented on the new Kambi partnership, saying: “With the opening of our new Wind Creek Chicago Southland property, it was essential we partnered with a leader in B2B sports betting provision such as Kambi.
"We are committed to delivering world-class entertainment solutions to our guests, and Kambi’s proven track record and innovative technology will help us to deliver a best-in-class sportsbook product.”
