Craig Toner has been named as the new CEO of Aristocrat Gaming, replacing Hector Fernandez, who held the top job for over two years.
Fernandez was appointed the CEO of Aristocrat’s Gaming business unit in 2022, having first joined Aristocrat in 2018 where he took on the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Americas Gaming business unit. Now, following his resignation, Fernandez has reportedly accepted a role with a competitor.
Toner, who is set to replace Fernandez in the position of CEO of Aristocrat Gaming, has also come from within the company, having been with Aristocrat for more than seven years – serving in both Australia and the US.
During his time with the company, Toner has held leadership roles within business finance and operations in Sydney, before he was appointed CFO & Executive Vice President of Operations for Aristocrat Gaming in Las Vegas.
Prior to his time at Aristocrat, Toner spent nearly 20 years in senior commercial, strategy and operational roles at Lion Ltd.

In other appointment news, Oleksandr Feshchenko has this week been announced as the new CEO of GR8 Tech, a role he will assume as of 1 January 2025.
