Key points:

- Jockey Keith Donoghue is William Hill’s latest racing ambassador

- Donoghue will now have a regular online column on the bookmaker’s website

- This appointment makes him the third active Jockey to become a William Hill ambassador this year

William Hill has revealed the latest addition to its ambassador portfolio, as Irish jockey Keith Donoghue signs on as the operator's latest official horseracing ambassador.

As part of his new role as William Hill ambassador, Donoghue will now provide content in the form of insights, analysis, previews and general commentary via his new column on the William Hill website, as well as video content on the company’s socials.

This news comes following a range of new horseracing ambassador appointments made at the start of the year, namely; Cheltenham Festival trainer Gavin Cromwell, presenter and broadcaster Jane Mangan and jockeys J J Slevin and Sean Flanagan.

Speaking on this latest appointment, Andrew McCleave, William Hill Ireland Head of Marketing, said: “We are delighted to have Keith Donoghue join our stable of ambassadors at William Hill. Keith is a phenomenal jockey, and we can’t wait to see what the festival season has in store for him this year.

“As lead jockey for fellow William Hill ambassador Gavin Cromwell, he has some great opportunities ahead of him and we’ll be there to share exclusive updates, behind the scenes interviews and more across all our social content channels.”

Good to know: William Hill is set to sponsor the Cheltenham Festival County Handicap Hurdle in March 2025

It has been a busy second half of the year for the bookmaker, who fielded an official complaint by the ASA relating to its bonus ads over the summer.

More recently, however, William Hill entered into a new partnership with the Scottish Professional Football League (SFPL) for the launch of a gambling harm prevention programme last month.

Additional horseracing related news from this week saw New Zealand Racing Minister propose a range of amendments to the country’s racing legislation, in a bid to boost the industry’s economic sustainability in the nation.
