In response to the wildfires in Southern California, numerous Las Vegas resorts are extending support to displaced residents through discounted room rates and financial contributions.

Las Vegas casino resorts are extending support to those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires through discounted accommodation rates and financial contributions.

Multiple properties across the Las Vegas Valley have announced special rates and programs for displaced California residents.

Resorts World Las Vegas, for example, is offering a 35% discount on rooms and suites in its Hilton and Conrad towers through 17 January, while Fontainebleau Las Vegas has implemented special rates for displaced Californians.

Treasure Island has established a $79 room rate through 31 January, and Virgin Hotels Las Vegas is providing up to 50% off rooms with free parking through 3 February.

Good to know: Additional support is available through a partnership between Airbnb.org and 211 LA, connecting evacuees with temporary housing options in the Las Vegas Valley, with Airbnb waiving all service fees for these arrangements

South Point casino-hotel has introduced a special rate with no resort fee for California residents through 31 January, requiring proof of California identification.

All special rates are subject to availability and most require direct phone booking.

Beyond accommodation support, Wynn Resorts has pledged $1m in humanitarian aid, with $700,000 allocated to the American Red Cross and $300,000 to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation.

The company has also launched an employee donation program with dollar-for-dollar matching.
