The launch event on 3 March will introduce a celebrity-branded table game developed by Adventura Gaming, as part of Rio’s latest casino offering.

Adventura Gaming and Rio Hotel & Casino Las Vegas have announced the launch of Penn & Teller Casino Monte, a new casino table game developed in collaboration with the magician duo Penn & Teller. 

The game, which will debut at Rio, marks the first celebrity-branded table game of its kind.  

The official unveiling will take place at a media event on 3 March, where Penn & Teller will be present alongside Rio Hotel & Casino President and CEO Patrick Miller and Adventura Gaming co-founders David Anthony and Cinnamon Booth. 

The event will include live demonstrations of the game as well as performances by Penn & Teller.  

Penn & Teller Casino Monte is being introduced as part of Adventura Gaming’s strategy to integrate well-known entertainment figures into casino gaming. The company, which focuses on branded casino experiences, has not disclosed further details on the game’s mechanics or whether it will be rolled out at additional locations in the future.   

Good to know: The game’s launch comes at a time of significant change for Rio Hotel & Casino, which has undergone the first phase of a $340m renovation following its transition to the Destination by Hyatt brand

The redevelopment has included a redesign of the Ipanema Tower, updates to the gaming floor with over 500 new slot machines and 30 table games and the introduction of new dining options such as the Canteen Food Hall.  

The second phase of the renovation is expected to focus on upgrading the Masquerade Tower and other public spaces.
