Key points:
- Zimpler has entered a new partnership which will see the integration of the Swish payment solution
- This new collaboration sees Zimpler become the first PSP to partner with Getswish
Instant payment provider Zimpler has formed a new partnership with Swedish payments app, Swish.
This new deal will provide Zimpler’s merchants with a new payment solution that seeks to remove onboarding barriers for businesses in regulated industries such as gaming.
Swish will be opening new payment service providers (PSPs) for the first time, as it looks to tackle the need for the businesses in the gambling industry to partner with banks. Further, this latest arrangement sees Zimpler become the first PSP to integrate directly with Sweden’s most commonly used payment method, Getswish.
The rise of account-to-account payments, combined with the increasing pressure for frictionless payment solutions within the gaming industry especially, means that partnerships such as these could become more common – a fact that could signal an economical shift within Sweden.
Zimpler CEO Johan Strand said: “This is a game-changer for the Swedish payments landscape. Many businesses in regulated sectors have faced challenges accessing payment solutions due to complex banking requirements. By offering a direct route, we’re giving merchants a faster, more efficient way to access one of Sweden’s most trusted payment methods”
Good to know: Last month, the Swedish Court of Appeal ruled in favour of Zimpler in its dispute with the Swedish Gambling Authority
Urban Höglund, CEO of Getswish, also commented: “Swish has always been about speed, security, and ease of use. With this partnership we make it possible for more companies to accept Swish payments.”
