Gordon Moody has announced the appointment of former professional footballer Dean Sturridge as its newest official ambassador.
The announcement was made on Gambling Harms Awareness Day and aims to boost the charity’s ability to support individuals affected by gambling-related harm.
Sturridge, who played as a striker in the Premier League for Derby County, Leicester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers, will use his platform and personal experiences to advocate for awareness and support for those struggling with gambling addiction.
Commenting on his involvement, Sturridge stated: “I’m incredibly excited to be joining Gordon Moody as their ambassador. After my career in football, I’ve seen firsthand how important it is to use your platform to create positive change.
“Gambling addiction is an issue that affects countless lives, and through this partnership and by sharing my own experiences with gambling harm, I hope to raise awareness, offer support and make a real difference.”
