Key points:
- The new website includes explanations on Italian gambling laws and licensing systems
- As part of the relaunch, the website has been optimised for mobile users
- With the Italian gambling industry undergoing a major overhaul, BookmakerBonus hopes to update law-focused guides
Leadstar Media has unveiled the recently rebranded BookmakerBonus affiliate website for Italian customers.
BookmakerBonus was first launched in 2018 and provided Italian-focused betting guides and reviews.
With the Italian online betting market currently undergoing significant regulatory changes, Leadstar Media has rebranded BookmakerBonus to include explanations on how the laws work and what could change in the future.
Amra Hadzic, Bookmakerbonus.it Website Manager, said: “Welcome bonus promotions in Italy are considered to be some of the most complicated in the industry, which can be confusing for punters - especially if they are just starting out.
“We felt it was necessary to present that information in a clearer, more accessible way. Our goal with this relaunch is to help users make informed decisions without all the confusion.”
Good to know: Italy began reviewing its gambling laws back in 2023, but several key changes are expected to be introduced this year, including a new licence system, a lift on domestic betting sponsorship and advertising
One of the biggest changes this year could be the long-anticipated Italian Lottery licence. While industry experts have noted that Flutter may enter a joint big with Scientific Games, lobby groups in Italy are concerned that Flutter could use harmful and aggressive commercial strategies towards vulnerable players if they win the licence.
The website includes a breakdown of different licenses currently used in Italy, including the ADM and AAMS sites.
BookmakerBonus also has a list of all the licensed bookmakers in the country, so that customers can check if they’re playing at a legitimate website.
Paolo Strano, Bookmakerbonus.it Account Manager, said: “At Leadstar Media, we always strive to enhance the way users access betting information.
“Italy is a crucial market for us, and with this relaunch, we are reaffirming our commitment to providing Italian bettors with the best tools to make informed decisions in the betting space.”
