Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) will soon open The Laurus, a new all-suite hotel under Marriott International’s Luxury Collection brand. Scheduled for launch in the third quarter of 2025, the property is positioned as a calm retreat next to a tropical forest on Sentosa Island.
The five-storey hotel will comprise 183 suites, offering facilities such as landscaped courtyards, a function space, an outdoor swimming pool and an all-day dining restaurant. The Laurus is intended to complement the wider RWS integrated resort, which includes existing attractions, accommodation and entertainment options.
Inspired by the laurel, a traditional symbol of honour and achievement, the hotel’s design is said to reflect understated elegance combined with local cultural references. Interior details and service concepts are yet to be fully disclosed, though the property will aim to offer a blend of privacy and comfort in a natural setting.
Tan Hee Teck, CEO of RWS, stated that the introduction of The Laurus supports the resort’s long-term development goals. He referred to the collaboration with Marriott as part of broader plans to diversify its tourism offering and align with shifts in guest expectations.
Rajeev Menon, President of Asia Pacific (excluding China) at Marriott International, commented that the project seeks to reflect Singapore’s character while responding to growing demand in the luxury hospitality segment.
