Kaizen Gaming, owner of the Betano sports betting brand, has concluded a series of trophy exhibitions across Romania, Portugal and Bulgaria as part of its UEFA Europa League and Conference League sponsorship agreement.
The events brought the European trophies directly to fans across these markets.
The most recent exhibition took place at Sofia Event Centre in Paradise Centre mall on 29 April, marking the first time these trophies were displayed in Bulgaria.
The event featured UEFA Ambassador and former Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, who made his first visit to Sofia.
Bulgarian football legend Krasimir Balakov and pop-folk performer Galena also attended the celebration.
Commenting on the event, Buffon stated: “I am truly honoured to join the Betano Trophy Event as a UEFA Ambassador. It is a great opportunity to visit Sofia for the first time and engage with such a passionate football community.
“I’m excited to share this experience with Bulgarian fans and celebrate the spirit of the game together.”
Good to know: Kaizen Gaming, which recently signed a new sponsorship deal with Argentina’s Club Atlético River Plate, is expected to continue these trophy showcases in other European cities throughout the next season
Earlier trophy exhibitions were held in Romania and Portugal.
The Romanian event took place at Park Lake Shopping Centre in Bucharest in January, drawing crowds who met players from FC FCSB, Romania's current league champions and a Betano-sponsored team.
In Porto, Portugal, over 1,700 fans attended the trophy exhibition. Former FC Porto captain Helton, who won the 2011 UEFA Europa League, participated in the event and shared memories of Porto's victory in the all-Portuguese final held in Dublin.
These exhibitions are part of Betano's three-year global sponsorship of the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League, covering the 2024/25 to 2026/27 seasons.
